Vertical Doors Direct is not the manufacturer. Eligible products are covered by the applicable manufacturer's warranty provided by Vertical Doors, Inc., subject to the manufacturer's current warranty terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions.
Manufacturer Warranty Coverage
According to the manufacturer's current warranty information:
- Eligible steel components may be covered by a limited lifetime warranty against breakage through normal use.
- Gas shocks, heads, and stripper bolts may be covered for 6 months.
Warranty eligibility and coverage are determined according to the applicable Vertical Doors, Inc. manufacturer warranty terms.
Warranty coverage does not mean that every type of damage, wear, installation issue, or product failure is automatically covered.
How to Request Warranty Assistance
If you purchased your product from Vertical Doors Direct, please contact us first before contacting the manufacturer or returning any product.
Email us at sales@verticaldoors.shop and include:
- Your order number
- Vehicle year, make, and model
- Product or kit information
- A clear description of the issue
- Clear photographs or videos showing the affected component
- Any other information reasonably requested to evaluate the issue
We will review the information and assist with coordinating the appropriate next steps with the manufacturer when applicable.
Warranty Approval
Submitting a warranty request does not automatically guarantee replacement, repair, reimbursement, or other coverage.
Warranty claims may need to be reviewed and approved by Vertical Doors, Inc. under the applicable manufacturer warranty terms.
The manufacturer may request photographs, videos, installation information, proof of purchase, vehicle information, or inspection of the affected component before approving a claim.
Installation-Related Issues
Proper installation and adjustment are important for the safe and correct operation of vertical door conversion systems.
Manufacturer warranty coverage generally applies to eligible product components and does not automatically cover:
- Incorrect installation
- Improper adjustment
- Installer workmanship
- Damage caused during installation
- Damage caused by drilling, trimming, cutting, or modification not performed correctly
- Vehicle body or electrical damage
- Damage caused by an independent installer
- Problems resulting from failure to follow the applicable installation instructions
Vertical Doors, Inc. states that it is not responsible for damage caused by independent or referred installers.
Any installation service provided by an independent third party is separate from the product manufacturer's warranty.
Normal Wear and Misuse
Warranty coverage may not apply to damage or failure caused by:
- Accidents or collisions
- Misuse or abuse
- Improper installation
- Improper maintenance
- Unauthorized product modification
- Vehicle modifications that interfere with the kit
- Incorrect fitment
- Excessive force
- Normal wear and tear where not covered by the manufacturer's warranty
- Use of the product outside its intended application
Replacement Parts
If a warranty claim is approved, the available remedy may include replacement of an eligible component or another remedy determined under the manufacturer's warranty terms.
Replacement of an individual component does not necessarily mean that the complete kit will be replaced.
Shipping, labor, removal, reinstallation, paint, body work, or other related costs are not automatically included unless expressly approved under the applicable warranty.
Labor and Installation Costs
Unless specifically stated otherwise in writing, manufacturer warranty coverage applies to eligible product components and does not automatically include labor costs.
Vertical Doors Direct does not guarantee reimbursement for:
- Installation labor
- Removal labor
- Reinstallation labor
- Body shop charges
- Vehicle downtime
- Towing
- Rental vehicles
- Paint or body work
- Other consequential expenses
Independent Installers
Any installer referred to or selected by a customer may be an independent third-party business.
A referral does not make the installer an employee, agent, or representative of Vertical Doors Direct unless expressly stated otherwise.
Installation pricing, scheduling, workmanship, and installer-specific guarantees are handled separately by the applicable installer.
Returns and Warranty Claims
Warranty claims and standard returns are different processes.
Products that are outside the standard return period may still be eligible for manufacturer warranty consideration if the issue qualifies under the applicable warranty terms.
