We See This a Lot
We get a steady stream of customers who didn't start here — they started on eBay, found a lambo door kit for a few hundred dollars less, and pulled the trigger. Some of them are happy. A fair number end up back in our inbox a few weeks later trying to sort out a kit that doesn't quite work. We're not writing this to trash every eBay seller — plenty are legitimate. We're writing it because if you're comparing a marketplace listing to buying direct, you should know what you're actually comparing.

What Actually Goes Wrong With Marketplace Kits
- Missing or wrong hardware in the box — a kit that's short a bolt, bushing, or bracket doesn't become a return on time; by the time you notice, you're mid-install with a car in pieces.
- Hinges that don't account for year/trim differences — a “fits 2005–2013” listing sounds convenient, but this platform had real hardware changes across those years, and a hinge machined for the wrong year can bind, sag, or simply not bolt up.
- No one to call when install hits a snag — this is the big one. An install question at 4pm on a Sunday needs an answer, not a message sitting unread in a marketplace inbox.
- Sellers who go quiet after the sale — once the listing's paid for and shipped, some sellers consider the relationship over. If a part's defective six weeks later, good luck.

What “Buying Direct” Actually Gets You
- Fitment verified by your exact year, make, and model before you check out — not a broad range that might be close enough
- A real support line staffed by people who understand these kits, not a marketplace message thread
- Access to our nationwide at-home install network if you'd rather not DIY
- Warranty backing on the kit itself

To Be Fair — Not Every Marketplace Listing Is Bad
This isn't “eBay bad, we're good.” Some sellers on marketplaces are careful, respond fast, and stand behind what they sell. The real issue is that a marketplace listing gives you no way to tell the difference between that seller and one who disappears after the sale — until it's your car on the lift. Buying direct removes that guesswork.
Already Bought a Kit That Doesn't Fit?
If you're here because a kit you already bought elsewhere isn't working out, reach out to us anyway. We'd rather help you figure out the right kit for your car — even if that's not a full re-purchase from us today — than have you stuck with hardware you can't use.
