If you’re a fan of high-performance vehicles, then you’re definitely familiar with Hennessey, the Texas-based hypercar manufacturer. Now Hennessey has supercharged America’s premier mid-engine sports car, the new Hennessey Supercharged H700 Corvette C8 Stingray. This upgrade takes the standard midengined Stingray coupe to exotic car power and torque levels that outdo even the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Let’s take a closer look at what makes this powerful vehicle special.
The C8 Stingray Engine Upgrade
The eighth-generation Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray coupe is shipped with a mid-mounted LT2 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft of torque. The Hennessey Supercharged H700 engine upgrade includes a Roots type 2.65L supercharger system with an intercooler and inlet systems, improved fuel injectors and upgraded ECU tuning. This brings the horsepower up to an impressive 755 hp and torque increases to 659 lb.-ft at 5,500 RPMs.Performance Features
The vehicle itself boasts several performance features as well, including a lightweight titanium exhaust system, dual K&N air filters, carbon fiber front splitter and rockers, custom front grille mesh insert along with emblems and badging on exterior body panels. It also includes Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (285/30ZR20 for the front wheels; 335/25ZR21 for the rear). All of these features combine to make this car truly one-of-a-kind in terms of power and performance capabilities. The only upgrade it's missing are the door hinges for the Corvette C8 lol.
